Together we can help protect our community from illness.

Your health and the health of our community is very important.  Because of the continued spread in Madison and the surrounding communities, I operate with the below precautions, per Dane County Public Health, CDC, and American Physical Therapy Association recommendations.

Our staff has received the available COVID 19 vaccine and boosters.

Because we are a small practice in contact with relatively few people compared to our larger health systems, we follow community recommendations for COVID precautions.  Due to low levels of COVID-19 spread in the Madison community, but high levels of influenza and RSV in the Madison community, masks are recommended but not required.  Masks and hand sanitizer are available at our front door.

We offer the following options for appointments:

Telehealth

For many, telehealth is actually more optimal than in person, as it offers the ability for you to learn essential skills from the comfort of your own home.  For some, being at home allows for more introspection and more easeful integration of our recommendations into their daily life.

We use a secure, HIPAA compliant version of Google Meet for telehealth appointments in a room where no one else is listening.  You do not need a Google account or any software for Google Meet, unless you are using a mobile device - in which case you need to download the Google Meet app.

To ensure a high quality connection, please consider use of an ethernet cable and headphones for the appointment.

In-person Visit

If you need an in person session, the following precautions will be taken.  They are shown to greatly reduce (but do not eliminate) the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Please use hand sanitizer upon arriving for your appointment.

Due to low levels of COVID-19 spread in the Madison community, but high levels of influenza and RSV in the Madison community, masks are recommended but not required.  Masks and hand sanitizer are available at our front door.

If you are experiencing allergy-like symptoms that are not typical for you, cold symptoms, or flu symptoms, please do not come to your in-person appointment.  Instead reschedule, or if appropriate, we can switch it to a telehealth appointment. If you need to cancel the appointment cost will be refunded to you in full no matter when you have have to cancel or reschedule due to COVID-19 concerns.

To the best of our ability, there will be 15-30 minutes in between each appointment to allow the room to air out, and the air filter to do it's work.   If you would like to come directly into the treatment room and avoid common areas, we can accompdate this.

My space partners and I have an established plan for thorough cleaning and disinfection prior to using spaces for each appointment. A high efficiency HEPA air filter is being utilized and all surfaces/equipment are disinfected and/or put into isolation for four days after use depending on how easily they can be disinfected.

COVID 19 is actively spreading in our community.  By coming to an in-person physical therapy appointment you acknowledge the following:

Close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses. You are aware that this includes receiving services from a Physical Therapist such as this practitioner.

If you contract COVID-19 and have been seeing us for in-person appointments, please contact us so we can take the proper steps to protect everyone visiting the clinic.

If you're not sure what appointment option is best for you, please contact us.  We don't want you to feel as though you have to delay your therapy -- having a healthy and active body is important for your immune system and overall health!
