My classes are grounded in Medical Therapeutic Yoga, which combines yoga and physical therapy concepts (and other rehab and pain science).
• MTY is a non-dogmatic, non-religious, science-based form of yoga accessible to everyone, whether you are injured or an athlete.
• MTY promotes joint stability first, then flexibility within normal limits. It does not promote excessive flexibility or postures which place adverse strain on the joints.
• MTY focuses on precision alignment and safety to preserve joints while improving vagal tone and resilience, which is known to improve mood, gut health, stress management, inflammation, and joint health!
